We are not a traditional investment firm
As an investment company, we build on the benefits of being owned by a private, family-controlled foundation and professionally run. With limited pressure to deploy capital, we can be selective when considering investments in new companies and ensure the right fit between our values and core competencies, and the company’s position and needs.
Rather than focusing on specific industries or regions, we have a global investment focus built around four themes with long-term secular growth. This allows us to be sector agnostic and focus on companies which can utilise and leverage the strengths and capabilities accumulated across our Group throughout 140 years.

We are a long-term owner with no requirement to sell. Our diversified portfolio allows us to be patient with business cycles and accepting of volatility. If it is the right decision, we will deploy more capital or postpone dividends to pursue long-term attractive opportunities.
