A focused investment approach
When assessing new investment opportunities, we apply three selection criteria:
- Long-term mega trends: Themes where we see long-term, secular growth trends.
- Our value add: Companies which can utilise and leverage the strengths and capabilities accumulated across our Group throughout 140 years.
- ‘Nyttig virksomhed’: Our Group’s long-standing purpose of ‘nyttig virksomhed’ – having a positive impact on society.
We focus our investments on a few strong themes that are backed by long-term mega trends and address critical societal challenges:
- Global trade: We enable trade in different ways to help drive income and prosperity for people and societies worldwide.
- Circularity, water & waste recovery: We work to help advance the shift from linear to circular production and consumption models.
- The energy transition: We aim to support the long-term energy transition in different ways.
- Demographic & societal change: We investigate digital and automated ways of working and support early and efficient diagnostic services to help alleviate pressure on our welfare, healthcare, and work systems.

We are happy to announce that our offer to acquire Concentric AB, one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers, has been closed.
Transaction to combine Maersk Supply Service and DOF Group closed
With the completion of the agreement, A.P. Moller Holding indirectly holds 25% of the share capital in the combined company.
