Our purpose was formulated by our founder, A.P. Møller, who expressed in 1953 that ‘… the ultimate aim is not so much a high dividend distribution, as the build-up of useful activities.’ In Danish, we call this ‘nyttig virksomhed’ – businesses with a positive impact on society.
